AIM-PRO — AI Literacy for Multidisciplinary Professional Readiness and Outreach EU project (Grant Agreement No. 101245864). Since February 2026. WP2 Leader. The project bridges the AI skills gap by developing innovative, multidisciplinary educational frameworks that integrate AI literacy with Open Education, Generative AI, Model-Driven Engineering, and Digital Twin technologies.

MOSAICO — Multi-agent Orchestration for Software AI Collaboration Horizon Europe project (Grant Agreement No. 101189664), funded by HADEA. Since January 2025. Aims to revolutionize software development by enabling collaboration among AI agents. MOSAICO develops a dedicated platform and communication protocols for coordinating and orchestrating multiple AI agents in the software lifecycle.

Completed projects

EMELIOT — Engineered MachinE Learning-intensive IoT systems PRIN 2021 project. January 2022 – December 2024. Studies solutions for engineering highly reliable ML-intensive IoT systems, where sensors collect data from physical systems, which are filtered, aggregated, and used to train distributed machine learning models.

TYPHON — Polyglot and Hybrid Persistence Architectures for Big Data Analytics EU H2020 project. Consortium of 13 partners (6 academic, 7 industrial). January 2018 – December 2020. Contributed to the adoption of a model-driven approach for developing notations, editors, and transformations for hybrid polystore design, as well as a recommender system for storage technology selection.

CROSSMINER — Developer-Centric Knowledge Mining from Large Open-Source Software Repositories EU H2020 project. Consortium of 12 partners (5 academic, 7 industrial). January 2017 – December 2019. Contributed to the design of real-time recommender systems and the Knowledge Base component.

OSSMETER — Automated Measurement and Analysis of Open-Source Software EU FP7 project. Consortium of 9 partners (5 academic, 4 industrial). January 2012 – December 2015. Contributed to the development of model notations and mining components for abstracting and extracting key concepts from software forges.

EXPO ABRUZZO 2015 Regional project. March 2014 – December 2015. Design and development of the web system and mobile applications (Android and iOS).

FARM — Free Architecture and Rational Methodology POR FESR Abruzzo 2007-2013. January 2012 – December 2013. Research activities for the definition of a methodology and framework for Enterprise Rich Internet Application development.
